PRACTICAL GUIDE

How to reorder PDF pages

Page order can become mixed after multiple scans or combining documents. Using page previews to arrange cards lets you restore the reading flow without printing and scanning again.

Before you begin

Keep the original document or a table of contents nearby. For long files, place the cover, table of contents, and final signature page first, then arrange the middle groups.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the file in the PDF page editor and review previews.
  2. Drag cards into position while checking page numbers.
  3. Review the full order, apply changes, and save a new PDF.

Check the result before sharing

Flip through the final PDF from the beginning. Tables, double-sided scans, and landscape pages can have a direction problem even when the order is correct.

Frequently asked questions

Does reordering change page content?

No. It changes the page arrangement, not the content of individual pages.

Do I have to move every page individually?

It depends on the document. Set anchor pages first, then move the remaining groups to reduce mistakes.
