PRACTICAL GUIDE
How to split and extract PDF pages
When only part of a contract, textbook, or scanned document needs to be shared, you do not need to rebuild the whole file. Select the necessary pages in the preview and extract them as one PDF or separate files.
Before you begin
Write down the pages you need first. For non-consecutive pages, such as 1–3 and 7, check each page number as you select it. For long documents, wait until previews finish loading.
Step-by-step
- Add the PDF and wait for page previews.
- Click page cards or enter a range such as 1-3, 5.
- Choose one PDF or a ZIP with separate pages, then extract the result.
Check the result before sharing
Check the final page count and orientation. ZIP is useful when pages must be submitted separately; one PDF is simpler for a continuous range.

Will unselected pages appear in the result?
No. The output is created from the pages you select.
Why do large PDFs take time to prepare?
The browser must create previews for each page, so time varies with document size and device performance.
